AN INDIAN MUSICAL SOUNDSCAPE FOR THE WORLD
The Brown Indian Experience features accomplished Indian classical musicians with jazz musicians, some who were with the Brown Indian Band. The members are a set of floating personnel that very often features visiting international jazz artists. The music of the Band represents the latest trends emerging in the Indian Music scenario. The Band’s forte, is their unique interpretation of traditional Indian Music with arrangements focused on ensuring a wide global appeal and making a single-handed effort to present a sound to the world to which will be synonymously called “Indian Music.” Most of the compositions will be based on Indian Ragas and are treated with musical elements from across the globe like Reggae, Jazz, Funk, Blues, Latin Afro-Cuban etc. They show how Indian music fits in with the rest of the world thus proving the concept of Universality in Music
