About

Our journey begins when our founder Pradeep Joseph quit his Record Executive job to become an entrepreneur, as in those days to start a Music company required a lot of capital so he always felt there was an opportunity for a Music magazine as in those days there was only one music magazine in India that catered to a Rock music audience only. Even publishing a magazine required lots of capital and with no publishing background it seemed like an impossible task. In order to understand the market for the magazine decided to collect the data of Music professionals in the country, this data was so huge that he decided to publish the database titled ‘SaReGaMa-The Indian Music Industry Directory’. The success of the directory led us to take the leap of publishing a Music magazine that was across genres from Raga to Rock, that in a short time it became India’s #1 Music magazine. Over the years we have gone on to publish books on Poetry, Songbooks, Careers, etc.

FOUNDER

After a long stint as a Record Executive, the founder Pradeep Joseph followed the latest Music, happenings, Gear, etc. via Music magazines. He was always wondering why there was no pan India Music Magazines. It was a known fact of those days that the promoters to new Music and Artists were Radio and Music magazines.

So he thought since he could not start a Record label the 2nd best opportunity for an entrepreneur was starting a multi genre Music magazine was the next best thing. Thus began our entrepreneurial journey in 1998 with publishing which took a turn into moving into various Music fields to Artist Management, Events, Record Label,Public Relations, Merchandising, Podcasting, Movies & Gaming.

He started our Publishing journey with the Database: – SaReGaMa- The Indian Music Industry Directory which we released 3 Editions in 2002, 2003 & 2005. The next product was the Music magazine: – Raga to Rock- For everything in Music, In his words the main purpose of Publishing ‘To keep readers aware of the Happenings in the Music world and create a Music community’..This led us to extend our interests in a Movie magazine, Songbooks, Poetry, Education and many more categories in music.
